Location (Not Relevant: it was analysed and found not to play an important role in the way that could affect process implementation. Therefore this sampling factor was excluded. As projects are transversal to the sites, all the sites will participate (3 locations : Elancourt, Brest and Pessac),)
Customer: the type of customer may influence way how the processes are implemented with difference on organizational context, constraints and type of product to be delivered; so this sampling factor was retained with four values : Combat aircraft (DAC), Surveillance and Intelligence (DSR), Naval and land surveillance (SNT) and Meltem projects (DPM),
Size (Not Relevant: while it exists important difference with size, there is no influence how the projects and WPs are implemented; therefore this sampling factors was not retained,)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: the business domains are organised in the same way as the customer types; so implicitely, this sampling factor is already covered with customer type)
Type of Work: the development strategy is mainly based on two approaches, impacting process implementation, with special development of new projects (including major enhancements or impacting all Computer Software/Hardware Configuration Items) and version leading to release of systems; so this sampling factor was retained |
