Sampling Summary:
Sampling Factors: Location (Not Relevant: Offices located in Argentina, Peru and USA. Most of the production teams works in Córdoba offices, acting this as central point for all projets. Processes don”t change when locations are different, or depending where the teams are located.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Customer Location (International/Local) is not important because of: – most of customers, and trend about this, are global (international). Just one client is local. – processes doesn”t change regarding location of customers but others factors.)
Size (Not Relevant: Teams are organized depending on customer”s requests and agreements and skills needed. Commonly, they are part of bigger teams of clients, distributed and located in several places around the world. Since proceses don”t depend on team size to be tailored or changed, this is not a relevant factor.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All service delivery are under the Operation Management structure, assisted by Human Resources and Administration areas. Organization is driven by the service delivery processes, since very first contact with the customers. Each service/project has its own ScrumMaster/Project Leader, commonly acting as Technical Point of Contact. It is not relevant and it does not affect processes or the way in which services are delivered.)
Type of Work: Software development languages: Java and .net are a fundamental choice in the way teams integrate, code and test products, as well as the kind of management tools they use. There is an incipient adoption of other technologies as mobile, but since it is a business focus on Java and .net, we are considering having represented this in the sampling. We need to consider at least one of each: Java, .NET. From the business point of view, Java is much more demanded in the organizational scope now.
Process Ownership: Processes are owned by the customer, the organization or it is needed to tailor specific processes to meet jointly business goals.
Scope Management: It is the way in which service requests (in software projects mainly some kind of requirements variations and types) are feeded and managed within the service scope, delivery and agreement. Can be Fixed Scope or Flexible Scope. Both use agile delivery.
Sampling Factor Values: Java (Type of Work): Java technology.
.net (Type of Work): .net technology.
Other (Type of Work): Rest of variations: Python, mobile, Ruby, PHP.
