Sampling Factors: Location (Not Relevant: All Basic Units within the Engineering Development Project perform their tasking at the Beijing site. As such, there are not differences in implementation in terms of location.) Customer (Not Relevant: The customers are commercial for the four projects. There is no difference based on customer.)
Size (Not Relevant: All projects are between 5 and 6 months in duration and have 2 FTE. The size difference is minimal and does not affect the way the projects implement the processes.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All the basic units fit within the same organizational department, Engineering Development Department.)
Type of Work: One project is a Data Processing project and three are Application Software projects. One project uses the V model for life cycle, the other three use Waterfall. This sampling factor is relevant.
