Location (Not Relevant: OU performs its activities from Ahmedabad development location & no other location is included in the scope. Hence no significant process variation based on locations.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Projects in OU caters to external customers. All these projects are executed from location mentioned above hence able to follow defined standard processes. Projects that are managed by customer hence driven by customer processes are not part of this OU. Hence this was not considered as relevant sampling factor.)
Size (Not Relevant: There is no significant variation in sizing of the projects that result in different process performance. Hence size was not observed to be a critical factor.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Project managers and other participants follow the same standard process and report to same senior management. The organizational structure does not drive a different process to be followed.)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: OU has projects with a similar development lifecycle projects. Hence this was not considered as a sampling factor.)
Technology: Different development platforms are used for project execution i.e. LifeRay, Drupal and BigData. This could have a bearing on process performance. Hence this was considered as sampling factor. |
