| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: The organization is based in Ireland and the UK. Cardiology and Radiology were at one time distinct based on geographic location, but that is no longer true. Location does not impact process performance.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Customers are typically large health systems or a small office in a part of a larger health system. Different products and product components may be more appropriate for each customer, but “customer” does not impact the way a process is performed. Customer has no impact on process performance.)
Size (Not Relevant: Size does not impact the way a process is performed. Size has no impact on process performance.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Work is performed the same regardless of manager. The Functional Managers report to the same Executive Director and the same processes are followed by each group. Organizational structure has no impact on the definition of processes used. Organizational Structure has no impact on process performance.)
Type of Work: The intent is that implementations will use the same process, regardless of Radiology or Cardiology customers. At this time, however, the type of work does impact how processes are performed. Type of Work does influence how work is performed. |
