Location (Not Relevant: FCI operates form different locations in India (Pune, NOIDA, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai); The process followed is not influenced by location, since project managers and teams are spread across these locations and the project execution process is seamless across locations. Hence this is not considered sampling factor.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Not Relevant: FCI is working with Fujitsu”s Lead Regions who are considered as customers for FCI. Lead regions directly interact with end customers. Since FCI interface is with Fujitsu Lead Regions, this is not considered as relevant sampling factor.)
Size: Projects are classified as Small and Large. The lifecycle is tailored for the size projects and hence this factor is considered as relevant.
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Not Relevant: No difference in project implementation with respect to org structure since same governance mechanism are used across departments. Hence this is not considered as sampling factor.)
Type of Work: Type of work performed is critical. Business Application Services and Managed Infrastructure Services follow different life-cycles and impact the process performance measurements. Hence this is considered as a sampling factor. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Large (Size): Project is considered as Large if there are 20 or more Persons working n the project.
Small (Size): Project is considered as Small if it contains less than 20 people working on the project.
BAS (Type of Work): Business Application Services (BAS) – These are the solution implementation support projects.
MIS (Type of Work): Managed Infrastructure Services (MIS) are the projects providing support services for IT infrastructure. |
