Location (Not Relevant: R&D department is at Zhuhai location and only this location is considered in appraisal so, location is not a differentiator and does not make any material difference to the way processes are applied.)
Customer (Not Relevant: R&D department is considered as Organization Unit. OU is engaged in developing various application and products for Government organizations. Standard process is defined at organization level with minor tailoring is followed for each client. No significant change is observed in the process being followed by these basic units. Therefore ‘CUSTOMER’ factor is not considered for project selection.)
Size (Not Relevant: All projects are of typically similar staff size (6-7 staff). There is no variation in the work performed in these projects due to project team size and hence all projects are required to follow same processes irrespective of project team size.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: R&D department is considered OU and no other department or function engaged in software development so Org structure is not considered as Sampling Factor.)
Type of Work: At present New Development & Maintenance projects are going on. OSSP processes are same whereas Processes for requirements elicitation, design and validation has impact so, Type of work is considered as sampling factor. |
