Customer (Not Relevant: Standard processes defined at organization level are uniformly implemented across every customer to ensure consistent outcome in quality and customer experience.)

Size (Not Relevant: All projects are not significantly different in size (the way to work is independent of the size of the projects), so this is not a relevant sampling factor.)

Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All projects are working under the same organization and management structure, so organizational structure is not a relevant sampling factor.)

Type of Work: Work is performed differently based on the “type of work”: (1) Development Projects, (2) Maintenance Projects.

Sampling Factor Values:

Development Projects (Type of Work): Development of software applications to meet new specific customer requirements. Development is principally based on identification of new customer requirements, planning, requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, bug fixing and documenting.

Maintenance Projects (Type of Work): Enhancement and corrective maintenance activities (including new development based on consolidated and existing requirements) on previously developed applications addressing and optimizing iteratively the requirements from customers based on understanding, priorities, impact analysis, testing, bug fixing or other attributes. Include also deletion of obsolete capabilities.
