Sampling Factors:	Location (Not Relevant: Research and development activities are conducted at one location in Jurong, Jiangsu, China.) Customer: There are two types of customer categories such as external company and internal stakeholder groups (production and management Department). Therefore, the organization uses different types of standard processes based on the types of customer categories. Size (Not Relevant: Projects may additionally be classified as small, medium or large sized projects. However, at present all available projects are of the same size (medium) and so size is not used in this instance as a means of distinguishing between the projects.) Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: No differences in organizational structures: All projects used the same quality system independently of the organizational structure.) Type of Work: This is the key distinguishing factor among the projects. There are 2 types of work/project that affect which process is followed for all development work.

They may be planned by proposals from the production or management department, or by headquarter in Beijing and potential customers. The typical output may be that a product prototype or enhanced and updated functions which are developed for future usage. System Integration (Type of Work): Contractually based projects/works for specific customers.
