| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: Location does not play a role in the way that Client Technology operates in relation to it’s basic units because all work is performed according to the same processes.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Client Technology’s performance with different government and internal customers is treated the same way throughout the organization as long as the basic unit is over 160 hours.)
Size (Not Relevant: Processes are the same throughout the organization for any project that is over 160 hours. Any projects that are under 160 hours do not have a standardized workflow.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Projects are completed by one of three teams depending on the technological needs of the solution and availability of staff. The processes for implementing solutions within the basic units are not affected by this selection process.)
Type of Work: Projects are completed by one of three teams depending on the technological needs of the solution. Client Technology utilizes different workflows depending on if the project is a maintenance project, active development project or is an operational project with new concurrent development which we call Hybrid. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Development (Type of Work): A basic unit that is actively being developed.
Hybrid (Type of Work): A basic unit that has a phased implementation plan where the product is deployed then enhanced requiring both development effort and maintenance concurrently.
Maintenance (Type of Work): A basic unit that is no longer being developed and is in pure operational status. |
| Subgroups: |
Maintenance: Basic units that are currently in the maintenance phase of the life cycle.
