| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: OU performs its activities from Hyderabad development location & no other locations are included in the scope. Hence no process variation observed based on locations.)
Customer: Primarily projects are executed for internal and customers both. Hence this could have a bearing on process execution.
Size (Not Relevant: There is no significant variation in sizing of the projects that result in different process performance. Hence size was not observed to be a critical factor.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Based on the organizational structure, there is no specific process tailoring done hence no significant process variation based on organizational structure.)
Type of Work: OU primarily has systems engineering projects involving mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering. 2 types of projects were observed i.e. projects performing only software development and projects involving systems engineering. Hence this was considered as sampling factor. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Internal (Customer): This includes projects executed for internal customer
External (Customer): This includes projects executed for external customer
Software Engineering (Type of Work): This includes project that has only software engineering involved and no supplier dependency
Systems Engineering (Type of Work): This includes projects that has multi disciplinary approach covering mechanical, electrical, electronics engineering with external supplier dependency |
