Location (Not Relevant: Architecture Department, Product R&D Department and Management R&D Department and all projects are located in Nanjing.)
Customer (Not Relevant: The OU perform same types of work using same process set for internal information system development and maintenance to support client bank business operation)
Size (Not Relevant: Almost all development projects (refer to “Type of Work”) are moderate size. Large-size project is very few. Process tailoring may vary because of the project size. Large-size project will not be included because it is very few and the company’s policy encourages few large-size project as possible.)
Organizational Structure: All project belong Product R&D Department and Management R&D Department. Product R&D Department focus on financial system development and maintenance Management R&D Department focus on bank management system development and maintenance
Type of Work: Generally, software development works organized and managed as project. Also some urgent defect-fix for existing software system. Patch will not be included because it follows a simple process of bug-fix, thus is less meaningful for the process improvement.
