Customer (Not Relevant: NAVAL Group SMC customers are 2 internal entities within NAVAL Group and do not significantly impact the way work is performed and managed within SMC.)
Size (Not Relevant: All maturity level 2 practices were defined as relevant and applicable, irrelevant of program package size.)
Organizational Structure: Although limited, there may be some variations in program package management, work package management, measurement and reporting, depending on the SMC Entity hosting the program package: SCBS (surface ships), SCSD (submarines) or SCNN (steering and navigation systems)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: 97% of work performed at NAVAL Group SMC is development work, while only 3% of work is maintenance work. Moreover, processes followed by maintenance are highly derived from development processes, when it comes to maintaining requirements repositories, planning and monitoring work packages, handling configuration management and quality reviews.) |
