Customer (Not Relevant: SPI executes projects for various retail clients in the US. The process followed is based on SPI”s Quality Management System and not based on customer processes. Hence Customer does not have a bearing on process execution.) Size (Not Relevant: SPI executes projects of various sizes. However, the processes followed are not dependant on the size of the project and same QMS is followed for projects of all sizes. Hence size does not have any bearing on process execution.) Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All the projects in SPI are organized under a single domain named as Retail. Hence the Organizational Structure does not have a bearing on process execution.) Type of Work: The projects executed in SPI are of Development, Maintenance and Testing types. The type of lifecycle has an influence on the processes followed. The Development and Testing projects are covered under CMMI DEV model and Maintenance projects are covered under CMMI SVC model.
