All projects across all locations are executed as per processes defined in the Business Process Management System (BPMS). The BPMS is institutionalized and standard across all locations. Further the results of a Hypothesis Testing was performed to determine relevancy. Using a Process Compliance Index the statistical test indicate no significant difference by location in processes executed)
Customer: Polaris offers 2 types of Financial Technology solutions: a. Primary Customer – Services customized to Account (i.e, Primary Customer requirements) b. Other Customers – Services customized to all other account (except Primary Customer) requirements.
Size: Size is relevant as a sampling factor and is classified as Small and Large. The processes are tailored at the organization level based on basic unit size. In Polaris terminology the size is mapped to Star Rating.
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Not Relevant: Polaris is organized around Strategic Business Units) as administrative units; all projects in SBUs are executed as per processes defined in the BPMS Quality Management System, institutionalized across all SBUs. This distinction is addressed by sampling factor Customer. This was proven via Hypothesis Testing – i.e., indicate no significant difference in the level of compliance on account of the tailored processes being executed by SBUs.)
Type of Work: Type of work is relevant as a sampling factor and is classified as Development, Support and Testing. Basic Units follow processes as relevant to the type of work. |
