Sampling Factor Values:

New Development (ND) (Type of Work): This subgroup is for all new initial development projects and uses typical waterfall life cycle. Those projects required more rigorous and additional activities for engineering and management tasks.

Maintenance Development (MD) (Type of Work): This subgroup is for all tasks in the 2nd development iteration or maintenance development after completion of the first new development. Those tasks are usually relatively simple life cycle compared with ND projects.
