Sampling Summary:
(抽样汇总)
Sampling Factors: Location (Not Relevant: No. Location is not a primary factor in process adherence for these programs and most of the personnel on the in-scope programs are in Raleigh. There are other programs in other locations that are not in scope for this appraisal. If needed, key project or support personnel from other locations will be included.)
Customer (Not Relevant: No. Customers include various government entities such as the Air Force and DTRA; customer contract/requirements does not drive major differences in process tailoring or implementation.)
Size (Not Relevant: No. While one program, IMEA, is bigger and longer running than other programs, there is not a significant difference in process tailoring or implementation.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: No. The “In scope” programs report to different group leaders inside this ARA division but this does not influence how the standard process is tailored or implemented.)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: No. All work/contracts are mainly software development. Some programs at some times may do more maintenance than new development, but this does not materially affect process tailoring or implementation.)
Life Cycle: Yes. ARA SED’s standard process set includes two life cycles – Agile and Waterfall. This does influence which path and work products are produced.
Sampling Factor Values: Waterfall (Life Cycle): Projects following a staged, waterfall life cycle as defined by SED”s Best Practices.
Agile (Life Cycle): Projects following an agile/scrum life cycle as defined by SED”s Best Practices.
Subgroups: WFLC: Project following Waterfall LC.
12 People, 1 Basic Units

AGLC: Project following Agile Life Cycle.
