Sampling Factors: Location (Not Relevant: The scope of appraisal is only Pune location)
Customer (Not Relevant: The QMS processes are established at organizational level and processes are not differentiating with customer.)
Size (Not Relevant: The QMS processes does not vary and different for different size of the projects.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: There is one major division “Service Development Unit” QMS processes are implemented across projects. So this factor is not impacting for the project selection. Following functions/activities are carried out at organizational Level. # Quality Management Group (QMG) which includes – Software Engineering Process Group (SPEG) & – Software Quality Assurance (SQA) # Organizational Learning & Development (OLD))

Life cycle: Projects are executed using Waterfall and Agile life cycles. Separate processes are defined for both lifecycles. Since sets of processes are different for waterfall and agile, this factor is considered for the sampling factor.
Sampling Factor Values: Agile Life Cycle Project (Life cycle): Each iteration involves a team working through a full software development cycle including planning, requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing when a working product is demonstrated to stakeholders.
Waterfall Life Cycle Project (Life cycle): In “The Waterfall” approach, the whole process of software development is divided into separate process phases. The phases in Waterfall model are: Requirements Analysis, Software Design, Coding and Testing & Maintenance.
