Location (Not Relevant: This is not a relevant sampling factor as the client operates from multiple sites for purpose of convenience and not categorized the projects accordingly. The business and account based segmentation which is largely done based on technology is not influenced by the location/sites. Hence this was considered as a sampling factor for the appraisal.)
Customer (Not Relevant: This is not a relevant sampling factor as the organization is small and is not organized based on customer/account basis.)
Size: This is a relevant sampling factor as large and small projects are considered in the organization.
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: This is not a relevant sampling factor as the organization operates with a flat management structure model. The business unit are based on technology and not based on the organizational structure. The various business/ senior leaders are shared resources across the projects and operate as a COE for purpose of better process excellence. Hence this is not considered as a valid sampling criteria.)
Type of Work: This is a relevant sampling factor as the projects are organized across development & maintenance types of work.
Technology Domain: Since the projects are categorized primarily based on technology based experienced groups. We consider this as a relevant sampling criteria. |

Greater than 5 Persons (Size): Team size with greater than 5 persons.
Development Type (Type of Work): Projects which have development and enhancement type of work requests come under this category.
Maintenance Type (Type of Work): Projects under technical support, bug fixing come under this category.
DotNet Technology (Technology Domain): Projects which follow DotNet as their primary technology solution come under this category.
JAVA Technology (Technology Domain): Projects which follow JAVA as their primary technology solution come under this category.
PHP Technology (Technology Domain): Projects which follow PHP as their primary technology solution come under this category. |
