Location (Not Relevant: The scope of appraisal is Pune location)
Customer (Not Relevant: The QMS processes are established at organizational level and processes are not differentiating with customer.)
Size (Not Relevant: The QMS processes does not vary any differently for different size of the projects.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: There is one major division “Enterprise Solutions Services” QMS processes are implemented across projects. So this factor is not impacting for the project selection. Following functions/activities are carried out at organizational Level. -Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) -QA (Quality Assurance) -PPQA -Chief People Officer ( Training- OT))
Type of Work: Iterative Prototype Enhancement Model (IPEM) and Waterfall life cycles are defined in the QMS and separate processes are defined for both lifecycles. Since sets of processes are different for waterfall and IPEM, this factor is considered for the sampling factor. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
IPEM (Type of Work): The “Iterative Prototype Enhancement Model (IPEM)” is a methodology that combines best practices from waterfall, iterative and agile methodologies to create a general model best suited for custom software and product development.
Waterfall (Type of Work): In “The Waterfall” approach, the whole process of software development is divided into separate process phases. The phases in Waterfall model are: Requirement Specifications phase, Software Design, Implementation and Testing & Maintenance. |
