Location (Not Relevant: One location – This has no bearing on process execution.)
Customer (Not Relevant: Standard processes defined at organization level are uniformly implemented across every customer in order to ensure consistent outcome in quality and customer experience.)
Size (Not Relevant: Projects are of size that ranges from 2 to 29 persons and accounted for by Lifecycle Model, their complexities are manageable due to the technologies consistently being used and processes are common.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: One division as depicted on an organization chart – This has no bearing on process execution.)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: Type of work includes Software Development work i.e. enhancing, customizing and implementing the products where implementation requires development and accounted for by Lifecycle Model. Standard processes defined at organization level are implemented to execute the work.)
Lifecycle Model: Work is performed differently based on the lifecycle model i.e. Iterative and Incremental Lifecycle Model, Waterfall Lifecycle Model. Process areas affected are Project Management and Engineering process areas. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Iterative and Incremental Lifecycle Model (Lifecycle Model): It follows phases where the whole requirement is divided into various builds. During each iteration, the development or enhancement goes through requirements, design, implementation and testing phases. Each subsequent release of the module or phase adds function to the previous release or phase.
Waterfall Lifecycle Model (Lifecycle Model): It follows a sequential (non-iterative) design process, in which progress is seen as flowing steadily downwards (like a waterfall) through the phases of analysis, design, construction, testing, production/implementation. |
