| Sampling Factor Values: |
=>1800 hours (Size): All development and maintenance projects that take 1800 or more hours to complete must use the complete set of standard processes with very little tailoring unless approved.
<1800> (Size): Maintenance Projects are development/maintenance projects that normally require less than 1800 staff hours to complete. |
| Subgroups: |
Large (=> 1800 hours): This is a complex project type that requires development tasks that are outside the control of the EST team. For example the project may involve EST creating a solution that interacts with a system outside of EST’s control. The need to integrate computer systems that are owned by external entities increases not only the complexity of the production integration step but project planning, project monitoring and control, validation, requirements developer and verification as well.
