Sampling Factors:	Location (Not Relevant: Chennai location is only considered for appraisal. Thus, location is not a differentiator and does not make any material difference to the way processes are applied.) Customer (Not Relevant: BTS, ESP and FSS departments are engaged in developing Financial applications for various commercial organizations. OSSP is defined at organization level and projects follow the same with minor tailoring. Therefore ‘CUSTOMER’ factor is not considered for project selection.) Size (Not Relevant: Project staff size varies based on scope and complexities of each Project. However, it Organizational policy is mandated to follow all applicable unique processes so no impact of processes followed in projects. Hence “Size” factor is not considered for project selection.) Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Projects are executed in BTS, ESP and FSS departments. However, same set of standard processes are followed which are defined at organizational level. Organizational structure has no bearing or distinction on the process execution.) Type of Work (Not Relevant: At present all development & Maintenance projects are going on. OSSP is applicable across all types of projects with minor tailoring and hence “Type of work” factor is not considered for project selection.) Lifecycle: Projects follow either modified waterfall or Microsoft Sure Step delivery life cycle. Organization processes are same for both these lifecycles except for the Engineering work products. So, this factor is considered for project selection from both lifecycles.
