| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: OU performs its activities from only one location i.e. Hyderabad hence no process variation observed based on location)
Customer (Not Relevant: All projects executed are internal systems development projects without any direct external customer involvement. Hence no process variation observed based on customer.)
Size (Not Relevant: There is no significant variation in sizing of the projects that result in different process performance. Hence size was not observed to be a critical factor.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Based on the organizational structure, there is no specific process tailoring done hence no significant process variation based on organizational structure)
Type of Work: OU primarily has systems engineering projects involving software, mechanical and electronics engineering. 2 types of projects were observed i.e. projects performing software development and projects involving mechanical/electronics engineering. Hence this was considered for sampling factor. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Software (Type of Work): This involves software development projects. The projects cater to specific technological needs of Indian security agencies. Technologically, the projects cater to existing needs of Indian security agencies.
Mechanical & Electronics with SAM (Type of Work): These projects involves working on mechanical and electronics design which has supplier intervention for providing critical components required for systems design. |
