Location (Not Relevant: There is only 1 location)
Customer (Not Relevant: Most of the customers are of same type, no specific differentiation)
Size (Not Relevant: Size does not impact the process, thus not a differentiator)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Not a differentiator, same structure for single location)
Type of Work: Type of testing – Values = manual and automated
Domain: This is the domain of software to be tested, values = application and embedded software |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
Manual (Type of Work): Manual testing involves testing carried out by an test engineer by following a predefined and approved test cases. All the required test activates such as writing test cases, execution of test cases, reporting of defects are accomplished manually
Automated (Type of Work): Automated testing involves testing carried out by an test engineer by using test scripts developed using an automated tool. One of the key and laborious repeated activity during testing is ‘Test Execution’, this test execution phase is automated by using a special software which converts the manual test cases to automated test scripts.
Application software (Domain): Application software is all the computer software that causes a computer to perform useful tasks beyond the running of the computer itself
Embedded Software (Domain): Embedded software is computer software, written to control machines or devices that are not typically thought of as computers. It is typically specialized for the particular hardware that it runs on and has time and memory constraints. |
