Location (Not Relevant: The organisation is based in a single location so process implementation does not vary according to location.)
Customer (Not Relevant: The organisation has a variety of customers principally in the Zhuhai area. However, process implementation does not vary according to the nature or identity of the customer.)
Size: Projects are categorised according to their size. Two major categories are used; “Big” and “Medium” projects.
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: The organisational structure is show in section 2.6.1 above. The organisation is quite flat and all software development project work is conducted by just one department (the R&D Department). Hence there is no variation of process implementation resulting from organisational structure.)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: The R&D department is principally involved with development work. There is some maintenance activity performed by the company however, this work is outside the scope of this appraisal.) |

Big (Size): Large projects satisfy at least two of the following criteria. – The contract value exceeds 3 million Yuan. – The Cycle of the project is more than 1 year. – The team size involved in the project is greater than 6.
Medium (Size): Medium projects only satisfy one of the above criteria. |
