Location (Not Relevant: Location has no impact on process implementation because none of the processes are location-specific. Organization’s Standard methodology as captured in Process Asset Library is followed.)
Customer (Not Relevant: As organization is providing services in similar domain and similar processes are applied.)
Size (Not Relevant: There is a provision of project tailoring from the standard methodology in case required. The appraisal sample projects were of similar size/nature and no significant tailoring which distinguishes one from the other was carried out in these projects. Standard stages were followed. Hence size was not taken as a relevant factor.)
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All projects are under the same structure (Organizational Unit) called (Solutions Division). Within the projects, as well, the structure is similar containing program manager, project manager / project lead, team-members, etc.)
Type of Work: Two types of work in the organizational unit are carried out: Development and Services that include (1) Development Projects (BUs), and (2) Services Projects (BUs) respectively. The Development type of Work covers design, development, implementation and maintenance of software solutions. The Services type of Work covers service design, delivery and maintenance in the field of IT helpdesk, IT Support and IT infrastructure services. |
