Major version (Type of Work): Each year new version of FM Center product is developed and received by all existing customers of the product. There is also bug-fixing effort, however the development of new functionality is predominant. All major versions are numbered X.0 where X is 1, 2, 3, etc. Current major version is 5.0
Intermediate version (Type of Work): Intermediate versions are characterized by development of new functionality for a specific customer. This new functionality is received by the existing customers within the next major version. There is also bug-fixing effort, however the development of new functionality is predominant. All intermediate versions are numbered X.Y where Y is 1, 2, 3, etc. Current Intermediate version is 5.1.
Bug fixing/service pack (Type of Work): Bug fixing is a project with small amount of new functionality and predominant effort for fixing bugs found in the current major version. Such projects are started shortly after each major version issue. Bug fixing versions are numbered X.0Y. The current bug fixing version is 5.01. |
