Type of Work: The Type of Work is directly associated with the life cycle followed for that work and there are three distinct Types of Work and therefore Life Cycles followed for each type of Work. These include Application Management Development water and modified waterfall, Application Management Development Agile and modified Agile, and Application Management Services for small enhancements which are still large enough to be considered a project. |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
AMS (Type of Work): Application Management Services. This type of work is performed for enhancements and changes that are needed to be performed in connection with maintenance and on-going services for software support but when these changes are large enough to be considered a project which requires the additional rigor of project management activities.
Waterfall / Modified Waterfall (Type of Work): This type of work is performed for new development projects and very large enhancements which are treated as new development and for which an Agile life cycle is not the best fit, or not desired to be used.
Agile / Modified Agile (Type of Work): This type of work is performed for new development projects and very large enhancements which are treated as new development. |
