| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: Location is not a differenciator. Currently all projects in the defined OU are running on only one location. Whenever any new location may be relevant the application of the same processes would be mandatory.)
Customer: For customer specific product development (i.e. a subgroup for this appraisal) work is being done based on customer requirements on project processes. For standard software development (i.e. a subgroup for this appraisal) the customer is the product manager of each COTS program (internal customer).
Size (Not Relevant: Size is not a tailoring option for any of the projects in the defined OU.)
Organizational Structure: Work is performed differently for basic units in each subgroup (i.e. either customer specific software engineering projects or commercial off-the-shelf software development).
Type of Work (Not Relevant: All projects in the defined OU are of type software engineering either using SCRUM (for COTS projects) or a tailored V-Model 97 (the customer specific project) life-cycle model.) |
| Sampling Factor Values: |
customer specific product development (Customer): Customer specific product development where work is being done based on customer requirements on project processes. Only one project is available for objective evidence for this subgroup. A taílored V-Model 97 is used here.
standard software development (Customer): Only one basic unit is available for objective evidence.
customer specific product development (Organizational Structure): customer specific product development – Customer Specific product development where work is being done based on customer requirements on project processes. Only one project is available for objective evidence for this subgroup. A taílored V-Model 97 is used here.
standard software development (Organizational Structure): standard software development – The customer is the internal product manager of each COTS program. Four basic units are available in total. All projects use SCRUM as framework. |
