Location (Not Relevant: Only One Location. No Bearing On Process Execution.)
Customer (Not Relevant: The Bid office has signed agreements with 8 Ericsson offices around the world. We found that, no matter where the bid request came from, the processes followed are exactly the same.)
Size (Not Relevant: Turnaround times for the Bid requests, depending on the size of work, range from 5 to 10 days. The processes followed for handling the bid request is the same, irrespective of the size of the bid request.)
Organizational Structure: The OU is divided into various Practices which are largely decided by the Technologies they handle. Thus examples of these Practices are Mobile Broad band (MBB), Communication Services(COS) etc. The organization structure of the OU reflects these Practices. Thus there is a MBB Practice Leader, COS Practice Leader. Each Practice is managed, from the Service Management perspective, as one basic unit. Thus, corresponding to the 4 practices, there are 4 Basic Units.
