Location (Not Relevant: Only one location in scope, Chengdu, China)
Customer (Not Relevant: Although different customers have different project targets, SLAs, which have already been take into account during planning stage – schedule, cost and risk planning. There is no process variation due to customers)
Size (Not Relevant: Large projects are divided into small teams, each small team focus on delivering one or a few development modules or services with the tailored processes, so size is not a sampling factor)
Organizational Structure: The two departments in the organization unit (ITO-SingTel and ITO-NCS). The processes are customized based on characteristics of the two departments. So Org Structure is a critical sampling factor.
Type of Work: There are 2 types of work in the scope: application development, application maintenance and support. Application development projects align to CMMI-DEV. Application maintenance and support projects align to CMMI-SVC. |
