| Sampling Factors: |
Location (Not Relevant: All development is managed at Technatomy offices in Fairfax, VA. Actual development may occur at customer sites, using Technatomy processes)
Customer (Not Relevant: Although each customer tends to have its own preferences relating to details such as progress report formats, information, and frequency, the customer does not have a significant influence on how processes are implemented or performed within the organizational unit.)
Size: Generally process performance is consistent. However since AGILE SCRUM is team-based, the size of the team may impact process implementation. Projects are either large, comprising 9 or more FTEs, or small less than 9 FTEs
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: Technatomy has a relatively flat management structure. Additionally only the Health IT S/W Dev unit is in focus. Therefore, organizational structure does not cause significant variations in the performance of processes.)
Type of Work (Not Relevant: All work is for Department of Veterans Affairs, so type of work is not a relevant factor) |
