Location (Not Relevant: All development activities are conducted at one location in Beijing, China.)
Customer (Not Relevant: OU provide services to the general IT enterprise and work for all customers is performed according to the organization standard processes. Hence customer is not relevant sampling factor.)
Size (Not Relevant: All projects use the same process regardless of size and size does not alter the life cycle model or project process. In addition, all projects within OU are small to medium (All of sizes are less than 10 people))
Organizational Structure (Not Relevant: All projects are conducted within the one department, have the same basic and similar structure with project manager, developers, supporting-members, and share the same organization standard processes without substantial tailoring. Consequently organizational structure does not cause significant variations in the performance of processes.)
Type of Work: There are 2 types of work/project, such as “New Development”, “Enhancement Development” projects. Differences between these two types are application of engineering processes such as RD, TS, PI, VER, and VAL. |
