Centralized team from Bengaluru has extended team members in these locations to ensure QMS is consistently followed. Basic units in these locations perform work pertaining to part of overall project / service delivery lifecycle with team members spreading across locations)
Customer: There are two business channels for Infrastructure Services. DXC and Direct channels. DXC Channel covers engagements / accounts that are executed exclusively for DXC. Direct Channel covers engagements / accounts that are executed for Clients other than DXC. Some of the processes & practices differ in these two channels
Size (Not Relevant: As the size does not differentiate the work being performed. Set of standard processes being used do not differ based on size. Work performed based on common OU Quality management system do not differ based on size and therefore this has no bearing or distinction on the process execution. Also irrespective of size all the basic units in the Organizational unit are required to follow & implement OU defined policies & processes)
Organizational Structure: There are two divisions Applications Services and Infrastructure Services. Some of the processes used differ across these divisions
Type of Work: There are different types of work covering Development work and Services work being performed. Processes used differ across these types of work. Development work is in alignment with CMMI-Dev model and Services work is in alignment with CMMI-SVC model
Lifecycle: There are different lifecycle models being followed such as Application development, Application testing and Application Operations & Support. Some of the processes used differ across these lifecycles
Sampling Factor Values: DXC Channel (Customer): DXC Channel covers engagements / accounts that are executed exclusively for DXC
Direct Channel (Customer): Direct Channel covers engagements / accounts that are executed for Clients other than DXC
Applications Services (Organizational Structure): This division involves Applications Development, Applications Testing and Applications Operations & Support type of work
Infrastructure Services (Organizational Structure): This division involves Infrastructure services covering Data Center Services, Network Services, Managed Maintenance Services and Information Security Services and suite of remote infrastructure services
Development (DEV) (Type of Work): Development work comprises of Application development scope of work involving development of new application or enhancement of existing software features covering the activities such as requirements development, design, construction and testing phases
Services (SVC) (Type of Work): Services work type comprises of Application testing and Application Operations & Support scope of work. These type of work involves enhancement, defect fix and IT incident management based service requests driven by Service level agreements and test execution activities
Application Development (Lifecycle): Application development lifecycle involves execution of projects covering requirements development, design, construction and testing using Agile methodology
Application Testing (Lifecycle): Application testing involves testing lifecycle engagements with focus on application testing. Testing projects involves understanding of test requirements, evolving test strategy, test case designing, test case execution and test results validation for the testing scope of work
Application Operations & Support (AOS) (Lifecycle): AOS type of work involves Maintenance and production support lifecycle primarily involves the combination of work type covering enhancement, defect fix and IT incident management based service requests driven by Service level agreements
