Type of Work: has been considered a relevant sampling factor because in the OU scope it”s possible to identify three types of work, according to the services provided by Simav: metrological services, logistics services and system engineering serivces.Sampling Factor Values: Metrological Laboratories (Organizational Structure): The OU Metrological Laboratories refers to the operational OU within the Aerospace and Defense Division. The Unit is lead by a Fuction Manager (Ciro Tarallo). A Team of 10 Lab Coordinators supports the Functional Manager to lead the overall structure (60 resources).
Logistics (Organizational Structure): The OU Logistics refers to the operational OU within the Aerospace and Defense Division. The Unit is lead by a Fuction Manager (Simone Buccioni). A Team of 5 Technical Specialists performs the operation and maintenance on the customers sites.
System Engineering (Organizational Structure): The OU Systems Engineering refers to the operational OU within the Aerospace and Defense Division. The Unit is lead by a Fuction Manager (Andrea Compagnoni). A Team of 3 Engineering Project managers performs services for the customers.
Metrological service (Type of Work): The OU provides metrology services, on its own labs and on site, ensuring that apparatus complies with the metrological requirements for specific applications (Metrological Confirmation) through a series of supporting activities: o Accredited Calibration of equipment and systems for measuring and testing o Preventive maintenance and repair o Validation and testing of Automatic Test Equipment (A
Logistics service (Type of Work): The OU provides technical support and on site infrastructure logistics services, through its Integrated Logistic Support System. It ensures the availability of systems and infrastructure during the entire product lifecycle. The main services performed are: o Installation o Integration o Test & validation o Maintenance over: TLC, Security, Power Generation, Ground Support Systems.
System Engineering Service (Type of Work): The OU provides Engineering Services such as: o Energy and Environmental Audits o Technical-Economical Analysis o Feasibility Studies o Designs o Maintenance Engineering Supports and it develops business oriented Research and Development Projects.Subgroups: Metrological Laboratories: The Simav Metrological Laboratories boast a very high level of professionalism and quality, operating within an ISO9001:2008 certified corporate quality system and, as regards the calibration and certification activities, in its LAT Centres nos. 04, 14 and 64. The services offered by the Metrological Laboratories, both at their own laboratories and those of the customers, are oriented towards the “Global Service of Measuring”
