Type of Work: Smart Education R&D Center executes two types of project work that leads to differences in the application of processes. The two types of project work involves: a) Greenfield Projects b) Enhancement Projects. The type of work leads to some differences in processes, particularly affecting RD, REQM, PP, PMC, RSKM, MA, VER, PI and IPM process areas.
Application Functionality: The solutions and applications developed at Smart Education R&D Center address and enable two main functionalities related to the Education domain: 1) Education Data and Information Management 2) Interactive E-Learning. Based on the functionality type, there are some differences in the execution of processes particularly related to RD,TS, PI, DAR, VER and VAL process areas.Sampling Factor Values: Greenfield Projects (Type of Work): Greenfield Projects involve development of new systems, software solutions and applications.
Enhancement Projects (Type of Work): Enhancement Projects involve upgrade and enhancement to existing software applications and solutions. The upgrade and enhancement often involve a significant amount of change to an existing software application, system or solution.
Education Data and Information Management (Application Functionality): The projects that address this application functionality type are related to Applications through which education related data can be easily collected, analysed, integrated, stored, retrieved and archived.This type of application data includes files related to teachers, course lists, education office related data etc.
Interactive E-Learning (Application Functionality): The projects that address this application functionality type provide platforms through which learning based outcomes can be enabled in an interactive mode and monitoring, query handling etc can be achieved on a real time basis.
